Refund and return policy

Overview

Our refund and returns policy lasts 30 days. If 30 days have passed since your purchase, we can’t offer you a full refund or exchange.

To be eligible for a return, your item must be unused, in the same condition that you received it, and in the original packaging. Due to the nature of our products, we have strict guidelines to ensure the safety and legality of our return process.

Non-Returnable Items

Certain items cannot be returned due to safety and legal considerations:

  • Custom-made or personalized knives
  • Knives with damaged or removed serial numbers
  • Used or sharpened knives
  • Knife maintenance products (oils, sharpening stones, etc.) that have been opened
  • Any item not in its original condition, damaged, or with missing parts for reasons not due to our error

Returnable Items

The following items may be returned within 30 days of purchase, provided they meet our condition requirements:

  • Factory-sealed, unused knives in their original packaging
  • Unused knife accessories in their original packaging
  • Unopened knife maintenance products

Return Process

  1. To initiate a return, please contact us at info@getchopped.co with your order number and reason for return.
  2. We will provide you with a Return Merchandise Authorization (RMA) number and return instructions.
  3. Package the item securely in its original packaging.
  4. Include the RMA number visibly on the outside of the package.
  5. Ship the item to: {physical address}

Please note: You are responsible for paying the shipping costs for returning your item. Shipping costs are non-refundable.

Refunds

Once your return is received and inspected, we will send you an email to notify you that we have received your returned item. We will also notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund.

If approved, your refund will be processed, and a credit will be automatically applied to your original method of payment within 10 business days.

Partial Refunds

Partial refunds may be granted in the following situations:

  • Items returned beyond the 30-day return window but within 45 days
  • Items with minor signs of handling but otherwise unused

Exchanges

We only replace items if they are defective or damaged upon receipt. If you need to exchange an item for the same model, please follow the return process and include a note requesting an exchange.

Gift Returns

If the item was marked as a gift when purchased and shipped directly to you, you’ll receive a gift credit for the value of your return. Once the returned item is received, a gift certificate will be emailed to you.

If the item wasn’t marked as a gift when purchased, or the gift giver had the order shipped to themselves to give to you later, we will send a refund to the gift giver, and they will be notified about your return.

Late or Missing Refunds

If you haven’t received your refund yet:

  1. Check your bank account again.
  2. Contact your credit card company; it may take some time for the refund to be officially posted.
  3. Contact your bank; there is often some processing time before a refund is posted.
  4. If you’ve done all of this and still have not received your refund, please contact us at info@getchopped.co.

Sale Items

Only regular-priced items may be refunded. Sale items cannot be refunded.

Legal Compliance

Please be aware that knife laws vary by location. It is your responsibility to ensure that the knife you are returning can be legally shipped from your location. We reserve the right to refuse any return that does not comply with local, state, or federal laws.
